I hate this division of metal there are what 1000 diffrent types of metal now? I liked when there was only one all encompassing METAL!

Amen to that. And all the aforementioned bands are effin annoying. I get so confused by all these labels. I like metal, just more along the lines of Melvins, Sabbath, Isis, and some Pantera. I'm surprised I never hear people mention the Melvins? They are one of the biggest influences of our time.

the showdown, AILD and war of ages are awesome. I like the showdowns slower stuff better than their heavy stuff though.

Because its just like "Rock". If someone says they listen to Rock, thats a HUGE genre. Classic? Soft? Hard? You get the point. I listen to deathcore, metalcore, black metal, progressive metal, and new american metal. I hate thrash and I hate speed. It has to be broken down because there are many different styles.
Theres too many different divisions of metal these days. You either like it or you dont. haha
But I do have to say, I think I listen to all of these bands.
Some of my favorites:
Parkway drive (Killing with a smile is fantastic, as well as horizons)
In Fear and Faith
Emmure
Acacia Strain
A day to Remember
Born of Osiris
August Burns Red
As I Lay Dying
I killed the prom queen
Of Machines
We Came as Romans
etc, etc...
But I do have to say, I think I listen to all of these bands.

False. Read my post above. There are some types of metal that I hate. Everyone that I know is getting on this Bring me the Horizon bandwagon. I loathe them, they're just crappy thrash metal IMO, but I hate thrash.
Also The Devil Wears Prada, add that to my list above.
