I appreciate Gucci for what he is, music to beat down the block to, if you listen to Gucci looking for meaningful hip-hop, then you are stupid. People complain that hes trash, not lyrical, etc. Gucci says that himself, he doesn't make music listen you sit down to listen to trying to find a deeper meanign of life or some shit like that(thats what you have truly good rappers for). He'll have a nice line ever so often, but he's not AS bad as he used to be, but he is nowhere near good. This is all coming from a big fan of him.

I kinda agree with that he does throw a zinger in there every now and again. Gucci is not lyrical by any means but I'll bump his sh** down the block or at comps cuz his beats knock something awful

There are plenty of good rappers out now. Cory Gunz, Drake, Bobby Creekwater, Wale, B.O.B, Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton, Lupe Fiasco, everybody in slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz), Nino Bless, Termanology, Young Chris from Young Gunz, Immortal Technique, and the list goes on and on. I can't stand it when people say hip hop is dead or there's no good rappers out. You should say that the stuff they play on the radio sucks instead.

ya there are good rappers out there, but the mainstream hip hop scene has gone to hell, back in the days of biggie, tupac, NWA, and all them, all the mainstream stuff was great, but do to the stupidness of some people all you need is heavy bass and a chorus that is catchy and you repeat 3423415734517213567891265123890277892346 times... and yes that is exact i counted:fyi:

by far some of the best rappers are biggie, 2pac, any1 who was in NWA, Lil Wayne(before carter3), Nas, immortal technique(dude is like dylan, he spits hot fire)

People can't appreciate gucci for what he is, its funny people talkin bout "real" hiphop, just about everyone knows what "real" hiphop is, no need to reiterate it. Then again gucci isn't for everyone, I can sit back enjoy his insane beats and somewhat subpar skills, my music doesn't always have to be thought provoking uplifting stuff that takes 4 listenes to fully understand(I do like that, but I cant play it all the time).
