The reel that is on the bow is an 808 zebco. Basically an oversized spin cast fishing reel.
Whats the strategy to find them, I see you don't have a trolling motor. I imagine it would be tough to come up on any without scaring them away first.
And do you eat any of those fish besides the bass? Mullet isn't too good IMO, neither is the catfish you catch in brackish water, and you can't eat mudfish or gar.
I dont lose too many because of that. I get more arrows lost because of the line getting knotted up and getting hung in the reel. Then it breaks it off. But during the day we would usually go swimming to get them. Its kind of nice when it is hot out. But at night I see way too many gators so if we lose one owell. I saw a gator there the other night that was about 12 feet long.how many times do you lose the arrows because you forgot to release the reel so that it casts when you shoot
where do you live?yea i was confused about what he meant by it being expensive. I saw the reel but i though if you missed maybe you didnt get it back or something. I dont think its legal here, I never seen it done before
Yea I have a few lights. But it is still not enough. I need like five more.Thats a lot of contractors lights on your boat lol, I guess you gotta see the fish somehow.
Nice Gar, I caught one a couple years ago almost 3'.
Impressive!
I have shot a bow and arrow all my life in competitions and have never gone bowfishing. I have a setup, but have never done it.
It looks like fun. I am going inshore fishing in June, and will take my bow and try to shoot some mullet then.
