Who likes Bowfishing???

I know I do. I went out this past saturday night to Salt Springs Run, in Salt springs Fl. I ended up shooting the following.

1 Bass (Mistaken for mullet. The thing was hauling ***)

1 Gar

1 Mudfish

2 Mullet

2 Perch

5 Catfish

Here is what I was bowfishing off of. This is my boat

Let me know what you all think. we left at around 10 at night and did not get home til about 4 am

It is. Its definately something that you would get hooked on. The **** arrows are expensive tho. like $10 each

Spearing is legal here, local pond/river is loaded with ginormous carp. always wanted to give it a try

not sure if he's NOT retrieving the arrow, but the arrow is typically attached to a reel, similar to a fishing pole reel.

he's probably referring to getting the arrow stuck in the mud, or fish wrapping it around a stump under the water, then you gotta cut the line and you lose it.

Its fun as hell though! first time you will get a huge *** bruise from the bow string hitting your arm everytime you shoot... its a little different than a hunting bow lol. (maybe its because they gave me the shitty bow to use.. )

We usually go out around Lake Apopka down here, rack up about 30-40 Perch. Ill try and get pics next time i go with my g/f's dad.

yea i was confused about what he meant by it being expensive. I saw the reel but i though if you missed maybe you didnt get it back or something. I dont think its legal here, I never seen it done before

man makes me wana fish! i caught a 3 lb German brown trout last year. kinda feel bad for eatn it.... not rally! was so **** good! i havnt tried this spear fishing yet seems fun
