(WinXP, linksys wireless network)
Ok so my connection at home is acting up. I keep getting 1 second connection "pauses" every 30-45 seconds or so. I haven't timed it but it seems like a regular interval. Normally it's no big deal just surfing the web or whatever, but it's a huge PITA while gaming.
I ran one of those constant ping commands from the comand prompt and had my roomates do the same. Every 30-45 seconds the average of 24ms jumps to 1000ms on my computer. Neither of them had the problem at all. One of them is also connected wirelessly to the router and the other is physically connected. I also tried connecting to a neighbor's network (shh don't tell them), but had the same problem. I'm running AVG for a virus scanner.
Could it be some spyware that my AVG isn't picking up? Could it be a bad wireless card?
