You got a problem with Unions? Fuk you ***. Guess you think people should have to work 14 hours a day and 70 hours a week without benefits and overtime pay? You should do some research and see just how many things Unions fought for that you benefit from every day. I will now make it a goal to shit on you every time i see you post.
Because unions often forget that the company exists to turn a profit, not to create jobs for them. Not to mention it adds a thick layer of bullshit bureaucracy. In some industries are they a positive addition? Probably. Most? Hardly.

When i worked for HD we were building a new RDC which was being built on a contract from Atlanta (where home depot is based) so of course the company that won the contract was using labor from Atlanta as well...

As soon as the local unions figured that out they were constantly outside our property passing out fliers that said "shame on homedepot" and then proceeded to pass off lie after lie. It was so pathetic. Not to mention a huge pain in the *** because we had to send emails back and forth to the SSC every time they did something.

As a result, i will NEVER use union labor in the state of Kansas if i can avoid it. Those bastards would jump on an out of state contract in a heartbeat if they were competent enough to get one. No wonder they couldn't get one. Instead of looking for work they're outside my store *****ing.

You're right. It's not a companies responsibility to treat the workforce that makes it possible for them to operate fairly. An established minimum wage is bad. Mandated hour base is bad. Workers' right to voice concern without repercussion is bad. OSHA is bad. Grievance program is bad. Organized skill requirement to correctly and safely perform a job is bad. Maybe we should all be working for $2/hr. with no benefits so the company can install a heated pool in the corporate offices and build their own airstrip. I agree that EVERY facet of the economy does not benefit from Organized labor. But the truth is, Unions are designed to protect the worker and that is needed. The problem is that our generation has never had to participate in the pre-union workforce. Unions fight to maintain a middle-class, whereas corporations and government strive for a two-class society.............upper and lower.

Ok, spoke my peace...rant started as a joke anyway;)

Corporations and Government strive for a two class society? Hardly. Only more lies and propaganda some bullshit unions spread.

Minimum wage, Workers right to voice concern without repercussion, OSHA, etc. etc. Those are GOVERNMENT programs not UNION programs. You don't need a union to get Minimum wage. Much less

You're proof of how flawed the union argument is.

Funny, i've always got benefits and a great wage. Yet i've never been a part of a union? When i was doing tile/granite work we always stayed busy, made great money.. all while union guys were paying their dues waiting for work.

Check your history and see where the legislation for all of those mentioned originated.
