Who here is in college?

i'm not in college right now, but i just finished my first semester in march or may, and i play to take another semester in september-ish

my only two areas of interest/study are Russian and Automotive Refinishing

My degree is kind of weird but basically can be called an electrical engineering degree (and I hate being a EE but I only have 3 classes left in the major so I am finishing them) with a theatre minor. I am thinking of getting an SIE minor and maybe an AS in welding, but I won't make the final decision until near the end of the year when I apply for jobs and grad school. There is a good chance I won't use half my education, but the extent of my academics allow me to choose many different career paths. Plus, I will probably still taking night classes at a community college to learn more even after getting a regular job.

I go to UC Santa Barbara in beautiful Southern California! Number 2 party school in the nation...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm a sophomore and I'll be majoring in partying and communications:up2somet:

Finished 3rd year at UC Irvine, majoring in biology. Should be graduating after fall quarter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You mentioned about working for the Air Force... What would you be doing there and why do you want to enter a Finance job with them? If I were you then I would look into doing an MS program and getting a couple solid internships under your belt. Then work for 3-5 years and bust your ***. After that maybe consider a PH.d if you want to teach or a J.D. if you want to make 500k/year + in your 30's.

I have read some of his work on options pricing.

Basically, my job with the Air Force is cost analysis. I work very much on creating labor rates or othe types of pricing for test projects (our base tests rocket engines and does some side work for NASA). Thing is, I have no problem moving away for college, but I like TN and don't really want to live anywhere else and unfortunately it's far from a financial center. What MS programs are you familar with that have a focus on more modeling and pricing rather than "financial" finance (such as options, stocks, etc) I want more strength with mechanics.

The JD/MBA at UtKnoxville is the fall back plan. All my professors tell me to aim higher, like Vanderbilt (since it is local and a good school) but I don't know if I want to do the type of work required to pay it off.
