Who here DOES NOT have health insurance

bwahahaha, a lot of sob stories in here. Glad I work for the state, we have the best and cheapest insurance. i get stuff done just cause now. Snoring? I think I'll get a $3500 sleep study for no reason and pay $25. Sprain my thumb playing ball? $5000 ER visit with xrays and stuff for $30. Ain't life grand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
you are soo cool man. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif It's ignorant people such as yourself that frivolously absuse the healthcare system causing doctors to be bogged down, and those really in need to wait longer for less care. Let me guess you are a minority?

Also I highly doubt, no wait... I know a sprained thumb would not cost $5k. I recently had a complete transverse fracture of my left thumb that required only about $3-4k in total treatment, including ER and orthopeidic surgeon visits at one of the top 25 hospitals in the country.

Come on why are you trying to embelish about a medical bill covered by insurance? You really are trying that hard for the thunderdome community of rejects:laugh:

my point was we have a ton of people griping about someone trying to get us all healthcare when there is clear disparity in healthcare coverage. I am fortunate to have GREAT coverage which allows me to get all types of stuff done (and yes my thumb sprain costed $5k, mostly because of the xrays and seeing the specialist for a follow-up).

Everyone should have the kind of coverage I have in this country for a the kinda price i pay. its ridiculous what some people are paying when they may not even need to go to the doc but once a year. your anger/resentment towards me should be directed to the individuals getting rich off terrible healthcare [cough kaiser cough]

We have someone trying to get us all healthcare? Do you know who is going to pay for this proposed plan to insure all people? It will be the taxpayers! Those "less fortunate" will have health insurance at the expense of hard working taxpayers. It is not a small bill either, considerng nearly 20 percent of the population is without insurance (47 million!). This of course will lead to deminishment in quality service, considering there will be a large number of newly insured which will put a huge strain on the system. You think universal healthcare will be able to provide/afford the same top quality care as we have available today? That world renowned nuro surgeon you want to operate on your daughters brain cancer, isn't flying in for what Obama has to offer with his health budget, because she is just a drop in a bucket with universal healthcare.

Universal healthcare comes at a cost. The cost? Hard working citizens forking over tax dollars to pay not only their own health care but the health care of their section 8 neighbor and her 4 kids from 3 different men. Collecting on every single one of them because she knows not to get married, as to drain the system of even more. But it doesn't end there. The doctors in the hospitals just don't give a shit because they get paid the same lousey amount after funding is cut due to the limited coverage universal healthcare will be forced to provide.

Sounds like a good idea, force the majority to pay for the minority, effectively limiting each persons coverage and deminishing the quality of our entire top notch healthcare system. SMART PLAN OBAMA!

My sister is a emergency medicine doctor and has to deal with the trash that comes in on the dime of the taxpayers or the hospital itself. Go figure the fat ***** coming in to get her toenails clipped because she can't reach is a minority, thinking she is entitled to the world because she has government funded health insurance because she is "of need". Same goes for the numerous hoes having complications after abortions, or coming in for a **** mosquito bite. Nevermind the illegals that force hospitals to provide free coverage, because noone can be turned away. It is people that flood the hospitals with bullshit like a sprain, or undergo a sleep study because they snore, that leaves less time and resources for those that need it. Ever think that money that was spent on your needless healthcare came from someone elses pocket? or that i could have gone to cancer research...but you don't care right- Obama will fix it all LOL

When this June comes up I will be without it. My fathers military insurance will not cover me after 21.
look in to a cobra plan its cheaper then real ins. last for year and a half i think. thats what i did when my fathers plan stop carrieing me. dont know if still true.

I canceled my health insurance 3 years ago and haven't looked back. I've only been to the doctor twice since (both times for the same eye injury) and got crazy discounts for NOT having insurance. When the eye specialist found out they knocked the bill down to $30. Yes that's correct, only $30 for a visit to the eye specialist.
dont cost me anything i got free care from the state haha but i dont abuse it. only go when i am really sick or hurt.

I'm in taxachusetts, your looking at insurance around $200-500 a month. If you don't pay you get fined about a grand. Better off paying the fine if she doesn't get sick often.
is it a grand or a monthy fee. i heard that the tax thing they go by how long you havent had if for i.e how many months with out. and fine you a fee permonth. like haveing a premium. 100 a month or so. not sure on the rate per month.

also in mass you dont have to pay you bill for heathcare. i dont berlive it affcts your credit, and if you have to go to the ER they cant denie you treatment. cuz you owe money. and really what are they going to do take back the treatment if you dont pay.

Its free here
ya but dont you have to wait forever to get treatment. thats what i heard

I get free everything from perscriptions to surgery. If I had to pay for health costs or insurance I would be a broke mother fucker

Fuck paying $2000 for wisdom teeth removal, uncle sam can pick up that bill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Cool story bro, with that $30 I think I'll buy box of Habannas and a 6 pack of Corona.

I don't have it, and have never had it.

Bit me in the *** when I shot myself in the hand with a bb gun (long story) and it cost $1,500 for 1hour in the ER, for the doctor to make one slit in my knuckle and pop it out.

Other than that... no problems
