Hurtin' feelings errrday.
Looking for someone that can design me a good box for 2 of the subs above. See my other topic in subwoofers section. Mike @ Soundsplinter says to port them @ 33Hz. So porting them is what I want...venting, whatever. I don't want to use round ports at all....just either a square type vent or long rectangle vent. Enclosure calls for 1.3 cubes internal. Here's what Mike emailed me with:
A vented box on the RL-i8 should stand around 0.65 cu ft per driver, tuned around 33 Hz for in-car use. One 4" round port per driver would be best.. though of course, with such a small net volume, and a relatively low tuning, the port will have to be darn long. Therefore, I would suggest using a shared chamber between the pair of RL-i8's (for a total 1.3 cu ft net volume shared), and perhaps a single 5" round port (or a slot port with dimentions that offer at least 10 square inches of port area). To calculate port length, I would suggest using the following form (the second one on the page, ignoring the minimum usable vent diameter form):

If someone can do this for me, there's a small paypal fee I'm willing to pay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
