I think it is the right of a business to be open or closed any day they so chose. If it hurt business that bad, they'd either open on Sunday or fold. If you think you can manage better, you are more than welcome to open your own store that caters to people who want fast food on Sunday.

I never understood why. I thought it was for religious reasons. I only went there twice though. Once in South Carolina to an actual restaurant, and once in Columbus OH to one of those Mall ones. Best damm chicken sammach I ever had.
