not planning on going to a gunstore...fixing myself, sanding, and painting the handle...shaving the serial, messing with the barrel.

how do i take the lock off. he said that the "safety was on"
Sounds like you don't know shit about guns and wouldn't be able to do any of those things...

i dont. i dont ever even planning on putting bullets in the thing. i just got it for self defense for these crazy *** crackheads. he did say the safety was on..so i gotta figure out how to take it off. someone said a lock...like when i pull the trigger the hammer cocks back half way, and then the revolver part looks like it wants to turn but it stops, so i think the safety is on...

what happens when you run into this problem while one of those crazy *** crackheads are robbing you?

what if you shoot at one of them and severely injure/kill him? people will hear the shot - police come to see wtf just happened - then some ******* (you) comes up with a revolver that missing the serial number.

or am i missing something? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

he said he wasnt even going to put bullets in it so id say the crackheads would win.

ive never seen a wheel gun with a typical saftey. some of them have built in "gun locks" though

Okay. Stop.

For starters, most revolvers don't have safeties. You have what's called "cylinder lock". It's broken, but may be repairable.

Second. Posssession of a gun with "shaved" serial numbers is a felony with a mandatory sentance in federal prison.

Third. How would you use a gun for self defense if you don't put any ammo in it? Do you think guns are just for scaring people?

What kind of gun is it? Can you open the cylinder as if to load it?

Yes the chance that it is stolen is very high. If you take it to a gun smith he will probably run it thru the NICS gun check system.

Google the make and model of gun and you should find lots of websites on how to clean and repair it. Don't attempt any modifications. Just fix it. It may just need a good cleaning and oil.

iam almost 100% shure that one dosnt have one. check out taurs's web sight, all of their new guns have built in gunlocks.

and you better hope that the crack heads arnt high on crack when you shoot them with that thing....

depends on the make/model of gun. most likely you will need a new cylinder lock. that would have to be ordered from the manufacture and they will porbably ask for the serial #.

and yes, they will run the #'s
