it should read when gas hits a price that pains the RICH AND WEALTHY, only then will they make a change. It is all ready crippling the lower/middle class people.
It causes them to change.

A group of us all make well above middle class decided to carpool. If you let it cripple you, it will. If you are smart and accept the notion that you need to change your behavior, it won't.

The only problem France, in particular, is facing is the management of the nuclear waste. Most of it is low-level waste and they recycle this for more fuel; however, this is an expensive process and still not all waste can be accounted for.
I love nuclear power and think it is definitely the future, as long as we can develop viable methods of nuclear waste management.

Locally, my province has been discussing the possibility of using nuclear power (which would be logical since we are the largest uranium producer in the world). There are a lot of mixed opinions, although most of the detractors are relatively uninformed and cite Chernobyl as a reason that nuclear power is not a wise decision. Of course, they forget situational factors and the advance in nuclear technology since 1986.....
I believe that allowing the production of nuclear energy with the stipulation of cleaner waste management is completely reasonable. We aren't in the dark ages anymore where we throw our trash on the street. Well...maybe we still are in some forms, but even so the regular waste setups here in the US are leaps and bounds better then they were just a few short decades ago.

With the responcibility of neuclear energy I really think that the US would do it correctly if allowed. I dunno...it wont happen in the short haul. I bet it takes another decade before we are actually forced to look into it.

McCain for me, please.

Obama's health care plan blows, he's against guns, and taxes WILL go up. Those are the "changes" you're guaranteed to see.

how do you propose to offset the $600+billion deficit that will be handed over to the next president??????

what instead of driving the Hummer they drive the Benz or the Beamer...it doesn't affect them the same as it does you or I - they have more disposable income than you or I.

There is definitely something to be said for fusion over fission. Aside from being safer, the half-life of radoisotopes from nuclear fusion is smaller than that of those from nuclear fission, making waste management a bit easier (inventory decreases quicker).
Question for you.

You're not in the US. You're not blinded by propaganda. I consider you to be intelligent.

1)Have you reviewed either party involved in the US election?

2)If so who would your choice be from a Canadian standpoint.

Don't really care about the deficit....I'm sure they'll keep robbing the Social Security fund and other shady dealings like that to "pay" the deficit down.....do you really think raising taxes will erase this enormous deficit? We will always have a deficit.

Raise taxes, ban guns, crappy health care plan....any one of those causes me to vote against, combine all three and I can't understand how anyone would vote for that.....unless you're a rich hippy that could care less about which doctor they go see....

Universal healthcare, other entitlement programs, legalizing millions of illegal aliens so they can jump on those entitlement programs...those Dems sure know how to spend money when we shouldn't be. How will they run those programs and offset the deficit without raising taxes insanely?

this is what will happen....
Obama will win...and Cinton will end up being vp. Obama will be assasinated and Hillary will become president after all.

lololol
Wow that sounds pretty good, I would have voted for Hillary anyways.
