The truth be told virtually every nationality has been in slavery at one point or another. yet I only see one being inabled because of it. It is simply out of hand. USA is founded on giving opportunity, not giving entitlements. We all have the opportunity, there some that don't want to put in the work that it takes to grow that seed into a tree. The way I see it is if your seed dies because of your lack of effort, you starve, period.

every other culture was happy just to be free from slavery, but here in america we seem to feel the need to payback for the wrongs of our forefathers, lets take a reality check real quick, In Africa, rival nations (or villages) kill, and inslave each other even to this very day, The economy is lets just say not as good as here in the good old USA, and there is famine, disease rampant everywhere. I know slavery sucked balls, but would they rather be in Africa now? I think not!
