you have a ground loop between your headunit and amp, disconnect the ground wire from the from headunit that goes into the harness, put a ring terminal on the end and attach it directly to a bolt behind the dash (you may have to add a little extra wire to the ground wire to do this.
I tried ALL of the things that were suggested... Including re-grounding the HU to the frame. That made absolutely NO difference.

What do you mean traded RCA filters for a line out converter? L-O-C only converts high level to low level signal..
I bought filters the other day and tried those, but it made no difference. I returned them and traded them for a line out converter. I don't know what you are trying to say, but the LOC I bought taps into the right and left channel of the speaker outputs from the HU and converts it to RCA outputs.

Yep the speaker wires are high level inputs. RCA are low level. It probably means that your RCA outs on the head unit were messed up somehow.
