Whine coming from engine?

Ok, so I just got my system installed today, and now whenever I accelerate my truck something in the engine is making a loud whining noise...

This happend before when we threw an old amp and some 10's in there to have while I was ordering all my stuff for my new system and when all the wires were hooked up to the amp it would do the same thing....

When we took that stuff out and had nothing hooked up, it seemed to not make the engine noise...

Now today when I went to pick up my truck as I started driving it started doing the engine whine again today...

Anyone know what's up with that?

Explain some more, like is my alternator shot, or is there a way to fix this?
