So i have a 1971 porsche 914 with a stock alternator that pumps out 55 amps. i need 2 new 4" speakers and just one subwoofer to start. which would be the best choice for me? the goal of this project is to show up most or everyone with other car audio setups. my friend thinks the jl audio 13w7 with the 100/1 amp would be good and then later on buy 2 of each. what would be the best thing for me?

First of all, you'd need a bigger alt if your gonna go 1k+

I'm just saying... don't bother trying to beat out the competition. Some people are rocking 4 15" subs and shit. Not to mention 4" door speakers are pretty small and won't put out the same kind of quality as say a 6 1/2". If I were you, I'd get something decent and not worry about wasting all of your money when you can be doing things to speed your car up.
