Which would you do?

I'm leaning towards the 18. I need to dmm the vc's to see what resistance is. I'm pretty sure it's dvc 4 ohm. I'll take the sub down to 2. And I'm already on the hunt for a 3000 rms amp. Also debating that... Lol
Unless the AQ has been reconed by someone other then AQ it can't be a Dual 4. We only make D1's and D2's. If it is a D1 it has the alum coil, D2 uses a copper coil.

I would do the 18 if you have the room for it. You could do a round or octo port setup to help slim down the overall gross volume a tad if that is an issue.

Figure out what VC setup you have on the AQ, unless it is very old it won't be a D4.

Their surrounds of grown the reputations of being complete junk and breaking/cracking very often. By no means does DC make bad woofers I bought a XL from them but, their soft parts are low quality.
have helped recone 1 before and unless you got a super sharp knife that surround is a beast ill have to disagree. also spiders were pretty stiff to after the sub had been run a long time

Thank you! It has not been reconed its still in great condition. Very stiff, and has copper coils. Heavy bastard too! D2 its is then so should see about 1200 rms.

I have the room for it. I dont no much about the octo port... smaller would be much better. With the measurements now the box will eat the rear end out! No space left over. LOL pun intended... Ill also have all of the other subs in enclosures that I can switch to if needed.
