It's in a super bass pro box with a RF p1000-1bd. I've always liked Obsidians and just like how quality built they are

Your box could very well be the issue with the Alpine.

Nonetheless, the OA has the potential to get louder and still sound good and it seems like you want to try something new.

How much power can the OA take?

I've heard of people running 1kw to them but be careful if u do.

Personally I would keep mine around 600 to 750wrms
