Sorry for double post and all but I went to show my dad the link to the Alpine from Crutchfield and it says it's discontinued and no longer available for purchase? Holy crap talk about just missing the boat.

Any other suggestions? I'm going to try and call them when they open but just in case....

The x494 has more preouts. It was 3 vs the 1 on the one you picked. It has a higher preout voltage. 4v vs the 2 on the one you picked. 3 band parametric EQ.

Seems like a no brainer to me.
