Makes just about as much sense as using the gain as a volume control //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I said I was using it as volume control? I was just stating the fact that I can turn the gain to 5v instead of 2...get a grip!

Does the alpine have the ability to get rid of the bass from my front and rear speakers?? I had a 9825 a while back and couldnt do it...guess it was the cheaper model huh.

yea I agree...just like the fact that I can turn my gain up alittle more. lol
No.

No.

Stupid. Completely incorrect. If you have higher voltage pre-outs, you turn your gains up LESS. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Get the Pioneer, it has MUCH more tuning capabilities. Better Equalizer, 3way Xover, just an all around superior unit.

doesn't higher preout mean turning gain up LESS??? honest question btw
Yes.

yes. higher preout voltage means lower gain, hence why people think preout voltage is so important
Woohoo.
