Which would hit harder and sound the best? 2 15" kicker comps, in a sealed box in the back seat of my car (my current setup). Or one of the kicker comp 15s in a ported box in my trunk. Or would a single sealed box in the trunk be best? I want LOUD bass that doesn't sound like crap.

The reason the 2 15s are in the back seat is because they won't fit in my trunk.

Are they the new comp's, if so put them on craigslist and sell them to some jackass who thinks kicker comps are good subs make some profit off it and look for something better. What kind of amp are you running to them? That will help to determine the kind of sub and box setup to reccomend to you

The amp is a boss 1600 watt (peak) stereo amp. I think it's about 300 watts RMS.

make sure your using SPL fuses and not SQ fuses if you really want to get loud....

Come on guys be nice LOL! Hey bud, if you are looking to do it on the cheap, you need a new amp first off, and a decent 15" sub, if you search ebay and allover the Audiopipe amps are pretty decent for the money, and can be had for under 200 bucks for the 1500rms amp that actually DOES rated output! As for the sub(s), I would do maybe, either one good 15 like one of the FI SSD's or something, they are only 199 right now, good deal..or possibly some other 12's so you can get two subs into a smaller space since 15's need more space than most trunks can afford if you want two ported. Something like that, and have a good box designed/built, unless you are handy with the wood saw. If you follow these instructions, you will not BELIEVE the difference in sound, I assure you you will be happy! There are plenty of good subs for pretty cheap nowadays, just look around, you can probably even get better for cheaper if you look.. Feel free to PM me with questions and I will help you out...
