Which way would be louder in my Reg Cab?

I have a regular cab f150 with captains chairs and I glassed a custom console to house my Type X 12. Its 1.3 cubes sealed after displacement and sounds KILLER, but I am craving something louder so I am going to build another one but go about 2 or 2.2 cubes(thats max space I have) ported at 33-35hz. I was just wondering If I faced the port towards my tailgate or faced it upwards toward my roof which way will be louder on my ears but still sound good.

Upwards or facing backwards for the port hole?

I have heard people with extended cabs say face the port backwards with sub up and it gets the loudest while sounding good. My cab is a full size cab but still small compared to most other SUV's and cars too. Anybody else know of have a ported enclosure in a regular cab?
