Which way to face my Sub.

Ok so i have an equinox and with my sub facing to the back its not far at all from my window.. i put my music up and went outside and my window was rattling hard( felt like it would break any second.) i was thinking of facing the box up or towards the front.. what do you all think?

i know the window might not break but it rattles way to much

only way to know is try it out...if you scoot your sub enclosure all the way to the absolute furthest point back and face it forward, the sound should be great....from what i have read, the only time you need to turn the box to face the back of the vehicle is when you cannot have your enclosure far enough back...turning it around to face the back brings the subs closer to the rear of the vehicle and should improve performance.....the only way to know is to try it....turn it around to face the front and see if it takes away from the sound at all...see if it stops rattling your window...if it still sounds good facing foward and it rattles your window less, problem solved

subs fcing the glass in a hatch/ suv like that actually gains about three decibels from the deflection off of the glass, if you turn it towards you, you will not like how it sounds.

o and what kind of sub, because i doubt the glass is gonna break

yes try all differ positions if its sealed it shouldnt really matter, just what ever sounds the best, but if its ported face it towards the back of the windshield.
