My past 2 cars have had tint below legal limits. First was a caprice w/ 20 all around w/ a dark maroon int. From what i remember it looked good but the cops hated me.
Second was a marquis w/ limo in the rear window and 20 on the rest..Tan int. A bit to dark and ****** backing up anywhere.
Now i WANT to stay legal with this car (35) but between my tan int and sunroof (always leave the shade open) it would almost make no diff imho. I'm thinking the 20% w/ the int color and s/r it would be a little less suspect by the cops as to how dark it could be with say blk int.
I do travel to chicago once and awhile and they do not follow illinois law reguarding tint. "Home rule" applies. You can be parked w/o anyone in the car and they'll still give you a $250 ticket on you're windshield. So that means 0 tint on the front 2 windows. This does play less into my decision as i only go down there at most 5 times a year in MY car.
So which tint would YOU choose?
