i have an Alpine amp that makes 350 watts rms at 2 ohms.

i plan on getting 2 12" subs and cannot decide which would be best.

these are the contenders.............

2 12" RF HE2

2 12" Kicker CVR

2 12" eD Kx

2 12" Alpine type R

4 8" re8's

each 12" sub would go in a sealed 1 cu.ft.

if i got the 8's each would go in a 0.5 cu.ft. sealed.

goin for 70 spl/ 30 sq

also how reliable is the eD Kx considerin it has a "flat cone"

back on: That amp won't be able to properly power any of your listed setups. If you only had 1 12" or 2 8" that might work but i don't think that amp that small can power 2 12" or 4 8" I would either think about getting a diff amp or not using as many drivers as you originaly stated

Don't need to go .5 sealed with the RE8s, unless you want to. All they need is .217 each sealed and .5 ported. Good luck with what ever you do.

i would do a pair of tens..either the compvr's or the he2's and port them...that will help u achieve the 70/30 split u desire and 350 wrms should push them fine. u won't be the loudest truck around, but u'll be loud....

i'm not doggin the ed's or re's either..i have never heard either and so i can't comment on them...

350watts is plenty to power many of those setups. I would recommend a single eD K series sub. You will find it to be much purdier than the Kx. I cannot tell you which will get louder, one K, or two Kx's, but I do know that the single K is cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And will require a tad less room (one driver vs. two).

I personally own a K, and I think it's built much higher quality than the Kx. It has a cooler/better looking magnet, it has the cast basket and not the bent sheet metal ones, it has woven leads and not just the ones hanging out there, and it just seems like a better buy.
