Which subwoofer should I choose

some kickers, some magnat, some JBL, some pioneers, some Rockford Fosgate, Lightning Audio, sony, Infinity Reference, boss.

With this i mean, these are the brands, but not neccessarly so many different subs from each brand.

you can look for yourself in this page. It's a local shop.

To get the price in dollars, just divide the price with 6,25.

that would be why i coudn't figure out were you were from, differnt country. Didn't do the price conversion thing but the Infinity Kappa Perfects are very nice subs. 2 0f those even sealed would be very nice. could build yourself a box to meet the spec.s and give them the right amount of power should be pleases, but did not convert prices so don't know if that will work.

Oh, they are rather expensive.

479,2$ for the Infinity KAPPA Perfect 12.1.

639,2$ for the Infinity KAPPA Perfect 12VQ.

And the specs for the 12.1:

Watt (Max) 1400

Watt RMS 350

Looks like I need an expensive amp here.

My wallet didnt like this..

The Kickers are rather nice subs, not as nice as like the infinitys but like you said the $$$$ has the final say. Because the kickers are not in a bandpass box they will not get as loud, but you will be able to enjoy a wider range in the frequancy area, If you buy them local and get a decent amp, put them in a ported box(that you or someone with good wood working skills built, and tune it to like 30-32hz. the tuning I caan't help u with but if u fiqure out the size of the box their are lots of people on here that can help[ u with that. for the actual argument I can't say much because I havern't heard your 2 choices, but in my past experinces anything that comes in a prefab bandpass box is not that good, that is just what i have experinced though. the noise out put may be decent for the price but it will be the control and precise sound qualty that will be lacking. if all you want is noise and people to get in your car and say wow thats loud the bandpass might work, but for daily driving it willl be more enjoyable to get something a little nicer.

I am also guessing things like this cost more their cause I deffently could get 2 kappa perfects and an amp for like 900. ****, we will get u a decent set up yet.

A friend of a friend of mine came by and I sat myself in his car. He got the exactly the same setup, the Magnat Megaforce (with the fancy box) and the Magnat - The Rock 1000. It played like hell!

It kicked, it rumbeled, and it was great!

Looks like I have made a decision. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If u like the sound their is not much esle to look for, but down the road when I get some more cash$$ get a couple nice subs and build yourself a ported box and feed them plenty of power and I know you will never go back.

alright here's some advice as for the box situation, its all about preference....from my experience, sealed boxes kick ***, it the right amount of airspace is matched to the sub...ported are alright, but kinda distorted. bandpass is supposed to be a mix of the 2, but just ends up sounding like a ported with 2 mnay ports....i think you should get a sealed box. the sound will resonate through your car, and depending on the sub, would will be able to feel the sound and not just hear it. also ported boxes take more power

with subs, stay with major brands......i've never heard if megaforce, but i can almost guartentee you that one jl w7 13.5 with outbump a wall of those....
