which subs to buy?

I want good full bass - nothing muddy --- so if i have to spend a few extra bucks i will --- and im looking at a kewood head unit

I have a set of jbl p1224's they are 12's though. They sounded very clean on rock and get wangin pretty good off low wattage. i'm selling them right now. pm me if ya want more details.pics in the classifieds

pick yourself up an alpine/kenwood/pioneer/eclipse unit that has a subwoofer output on it. A decent one could be had for around $100-$150, if you order from sonicelectronix.com, they will send you a free dash kit and wiring harness with it as well.

That leaves $250 for a substage. If you are going sealed, i would reccomend stepping away from the 10's and looking for a decent SQ driver. Something like this pair would suit you perfectly:

Hell man i'll sell ya the 1224's in a 2 cube sealed box shipped for 225. all you have to do then is find an amp that will do 800rms at 1ohm,shouldnt be that hard. Yes these are much better than kenwoods.
