ive never liked a single mtx sub ive heard. this includes 4000 6000 7000 8000 5500 and 7500 series drivers, so im not saying this from a single bad experience. i have heard a diamond m6 10" and i would chance a tdx in a second.

Well the 9500 series is a HUGE step over any other line they have.

I've heard both, more impressed with the 9512 in the particular install but I havent had enough experience with them to really make a good decision for ya.

I heard both in sealed applications with around the same power.

The box dimensions were different but the tdx was definately superior is sq and equally matched in spl.

This is really 100% relative.

IMO i would go with the Diamond, i've heard quite a few MTX's and I wasn't too impressed with them at all. I haven't heard a TDX, but i did hear 2 Diamond audio 12's in a ported box powered by a 1K rockford, it sounded pretty **** good if you ask me, alot better then most MTX's i've heard.

Let me just add, there is really only a tiny bit of relative "SQ" coming from subs. The bottom frequencies are pretty hard to mess up too badly. If you are using the sub for how its meant to be used (crossed over low, not playing midbass) you probably wont hear an SQ difference in either sub, or any sub that goes for over $100. SPL is different though, but since these two apparantly match up well, get you favorite brand or the cheapest one.

I'm just sick of hearing so much in depth talk about sub SQ. SQ is a subject for the higher frequencies where it is actually noticable IMO, not 70hz and down.

heard them both, played with the TDX's considerably more- i'd say neither....

I'd do 2 ID Max's before considering either
