how much would the driver displacement throw the tuning off?RE's calc doesnt take into account driver displacment...
Never used subwoofer tools either...
I still prefer a pencil and paper with the forumla of JL's site...
depends on size of sub, number of them, enclosure size...could be as little as .5" to a couple of inches...how much would the driver displacement throw the tuning off?
Inches does not equal tuning. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifdepends on size of sub, number of them, enclosure size...could be as little as .5" to a couple of inches...
you take inches off the port length...you add Hz to the tuning...Inches does not equal tuning. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
too much work...one forumla and I have all the numbers I need...what i do with the RE box tool is spec out the box. get my tuning/port leight goin acroding to my NET volume. them all hores around with the mesurements and make the box bigger to acomadate the sub volume. and to give a indiaction of how far tuning would be off. the last box i spect out. when driver displacemnt was subtracted from my theryetical NET volume. tuning went down 1hz
i use bass box pro to get my port lenth and aprox box dimensions then u tune it up on paper!
