I have narrowed it down to these two.....

If you didn't see my other thread -

I would like something with either a full QWERTY keyboard or at least a squished version of it like my blackberry has.

I will be using this phone for calls, texting (3-4k/mo), email, directions (not at&t GPS), and some surfing.

I plan on getting a new phone this weekend unless they are about to reveal a new phone that is off the chain.

Current phone - Blackberry 7130c. I love the speakerphone and quality of calls on this, but it keeps turning off on me for no reason, but have heard this numerous times from BB users.

i vote the new blackberry bold or htc fuze, i hate moto Qs, also very much dislike windows mobile

i went with the iphone, after coming from a treo garbage, iphone works great, would deff buy one again, so many things you can do with it with app store and such, if you want it for internet, it blows win mo and crackberrys out the water

bold dropped last week i think, fuze should be this week iirc

tilt has the most features. Call quality is many times dependant on the Operating System Installed. As i mentioned earlier, the guys on the XDA developers forum have more cooked roms and OS resources that you will be able to do anything with that phone. Can almost become an addiction such as fine tuning your CA system...

I would not SERIOUSLY recommend this phone if i have not had tons experience with top of the line phones all over the world,, in many cases using networks that make ours here in the USA look like a string with 2 cans attached on either side.

The only problem I see is that I have tried this before......I change the phone they think I have to a different phone. Add the web package......and nothing. Wait a couple days thinking that it will "kick in", but nothing ever happens. I just tried this yesterday. I have changed from the BB to a non PDA flip phone (or so at&t thinks) but it still only gives me the option for the BB bundle, no other data packages.

Care to explain this one? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

when being a true user of GSM phones, you have to think like a car audio guy...

Asking ATT to ""implement these features" or packages on your phone is silly. For them to do so is completely network dependent and relies on the ATT software on your phone to make it happen automatically.

YOU ARE PUTTING TOO MUCH TRUST AND FAITH IN YOUR PROVIDER!!!!!

once they have enabled the network features on your account,,, you are free to go buck wild...

I mentioned before. The first thing you should do if you have an att smart phone/pda is rip the pre installed operating system out of there and find one that has been "cooked" to remove all of the useless network specific applications and connections to the provider. All of the settings for email, media, internet,, all the things that average users like are easily loaded and all of the settings are public domain...

PLEASE... do not be one of the millions of victims that think their phone and their phone features are dependent on their provider (att in your case, and mine)

ATT is the devil of mobile phone control....... What i have fore mentioned is true and what i mentioned in your earlier thread is even more true. They are trying to control every aspect of your usage. However, their GSM network dictates otherwise if you know what to do with your equipment.

Again... the reason i am encouraging you so heavily to reavaluate your GSM habbits is because

1. you asked for advice.

2. i know exactly what I am talking about

3. i don't want to see people fall down the slippery slope of mobile phone stupidy that ATT has so encouraged.

if you get a proper phone and choose to pay what we all pay but not be bound to a 2 year contract,,, i promise you i can give you 3 months of support (if it is a WM5 or 6 phone) for free.

If you're on ATT, you might want to look at their new Quickfire. Touchscreen and slide-out qwerty

boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BREAK FREE FROM "BEING ON ATT OR TMOBILE OR WHATEVER"""" GRANTED YOU HAVE TO HAVE A NETWORK CONTRACT FROM THEM BUT WWWHHHAAATT??????

IDIOTS!!!!

does no one realize that you can get the most recent phones from Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland and even Japan now and have them completely unlocked, capable of doing things that the average att iphone user douchebags can not even imagine???

Does anyone not realize that GSM networks have been the standard for mobile communications around the world for more than 20 years and that it is only within the last 10 years USA providers have been using this technology and raping customers at the same time?????

People on this forum seem know so much about car audio but seem to know nothing about their mobile phones.... This is interesting....

I don't think anyone really gives a shit. Most of us just use our phones for calls and text messages. Maybe quick bits of internet depending on the phone. Just what features are we idiots missing that we so desperately need?

And most of us would rather not risk our warranties to install a hacked OS on a phone.
