right now i have 2 12w6v2s in a ported box. taking up too much room in my truck. i drive a dodge quad cab. anyways im going back to a box under my rear seat to save space. anyways i had the 10w6v2s before and liked them. but i found a ported box for 2 8w7s and was wondering which of the 2 would have more output. any input or suggestions are welcome. the box is 2.0 cubes per sub.

i dont know yet. its just what i know best and have had the best luck with. the box can be cut or 8s,10s,or 12s, mounting depth cant be no more than 7.5". i have a kicker zx 1500.1 i or a memphis 1000d i can use.

Ported 8w7s sound very nice. I had 1 8w7 ported, so i can't comment on 2. The w7s will prob have better low end then the w6s. Its tough to say though since the w6s will have the cone area advantage. But either 2 8w7s or 2 10w6s will sound great.

But then again, if you are on a budget then JL isn't the greatest.

If you have 2.0ft3 to play with why not keep JL's best sounding speaker? (the W6) Build your box under the rearseat with both sealed....I had 12W6's myself and actually liked the way they sounded better when I went to sealed, more accurate and handled the 1200wrms better as well. (obviously overpowering them) I say keep them, seal them and put the power to them, they will take 600wrms all day sealed.
