Which pair of 12's sealed?

RE SX sealed is not a good choice for SQ or SPL...
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Several people have run SXs sealed and have been more than happy with the results. Yes, the SXs do prefer vented enclosures but they perform just fine in sealed.

ok everyone is tellin me that these subs run better in ported, but my friend needs to have some trunk space and hes leanin towards sq. so would the SX12's be the best for the sealed? he wants them to thump hard but at the same time he wants good sq.

so anymore opinions? it seems like more ppl are leanin to the SX12's...

arent the Ava's loud as hell in a sealed box? I think I remember someone saying that an 15 Ava in 2.2 sealed was louder or as loud as a SX in a 4 cube ported box. Not to go off subject and add a different sub to the list but I feel its necessary because it seems that you want to be as loud as possible with sealed and I kinda think that those subs u narrowed it down to arent too fond of sealed boxes. Check with ascendant and see if they are still in stock

since his budget is $600, two $500 subs is out of the question, so no rl-s's lmao

either way, SS subs perform extremely well in sealed enclosures......

ask mike from soundsplinter about rl-p's and if they can take the power - from all accounts hifonix amps are overrated so you should be ok with it, but ask first.

if not, I'm out of ideas....

I lean toward RL-Ps and Avalanches for sealed.

Should handle it fine. If nothing else; just set the gains a little conservatively. I've got 800w RMS on my 12" Rl-p presently, and it handles it just fine.

Anyways; if you want good output in a sealed box, look for a sub with high excursion
