Which pair: buying tonight

I absolutely need a pair of coaxs in my doors, i only have rears right now because my fronts were horrible and i am fed up with car audio and internet purchases... I know there is better for the price but i need something and i don't need the BEST... I just need sound... I have baffles built...

I will be powering the pair with a JBL 180.2 @ 4ohms, 90rms to each... i will turn the gain down a bit if need be...

If these were the only speakers you could choose from, which would you get and why...

I want the best sound/ midbass combo out of these options...

Why not Pioneer 6/5 3 way... I had them in a 2000 Accord and they sounded pretty good

I would go with the polk DB's if you like good midbass. If your after the highs go for the infinity reference. Bottom line is the polks have better midbass but the infinitys have brighter highs.

since you can go listen to them in the store why not do that and see which you like more. My friend has those kickers in his boat and they sound good and get really loud with pretty good midbass... but then again its in a boat. I would possibly lean towards infinity but then again I ahvent heard any of them.

I say go with the Infinities, I've heard all of the others except for the Polks.

I used to work at circuit city as a car audio guy. And after listening to each one every single day in and out. I'd definately say polks if you listen to a lot of rock!

I've heard all of them except the kicker. I'd say go with the infinities. When i listened to the polks, i thought they were alright, midbass was there, wasn't like it was "a force to be reckoned with" or anything.

My friend has the infinity reference shallow mounts, and they sound pretty good, their a little bright, but not harsh, and the midbass is good.

The alpine midbass is ok, midrange is ok, but the tweeters are bad. Their worse on the type R's IMO, but i'd say these would be your last choice.

If it were me i'd go with the infinities.

Also, i just will throw this out, that the boston acoustic SX65 are a great pair of coaxils, very laid back and natural sounding, with great midbass.
