I am going to be powering a Arc12D2 in the back of my Tahoe in a 1.25 cuft sealed box. I am looking to see what amp is going to give me the most power to the Arc 12 at 4 ohms bridged. The 2 amps I have coming my way are:
MTX Blue Thunder Pro 752:
RMS Power measured at 12.5 Volts DC:
37.5 watts x 2 into a 4 ohm load with less than 0.05% THD+N
75 watts x 2 into a 2 ohm load with less than 0.1% THD+N
150 watts bridged into a 4 ohm load with less than 0.1% THD+N
Dynamic Power (IHF-202 standard) measured at 14.4 Volts DC:
90 watts x 2 into a 4 ohm load
165 watts x 2 into a 2 ohm load
325 watts bridged into a 4 ohm load
AND
Kenwood KAC-827:
Rated out put power:
85x2 @ 4 ohms
160x2 @ 2 ohms
300x1 @ 4 ohms bridged
Now the thing is I know that the MTX is under rated and test out between 70 and 80 watts per channel at 12.5 Volts which comes to at least 350 watts when bridged.....probably closer to 400 watts from that little beast.
The question about the Kenwood is what voltage is it rated at and is it underrated like most amps from that generation (RF and MTX)?
Thanks for your imput
