Which do you think will be louder?

a kicker solo x 12 with a stinger 1100 battery, 0 gauge wire, and a hfi 2000. sealed box. 3.0 cubes. wired 2ohm

or...

a 12in american bass hd, on a american bass ph4000, 2000 kinetic battery, 0 gauge wiring, wired a 1ohm, 4.5 cubes with a aero port tuned a 32hz.

The american bass all day...getting a solo x just to put it in a sealed box is the biggest waste. Also, 4.5 cubes is huge for a 12

Neither the solo x would be louder but there are a lot of horror stories with them. Look around the forum you can find some way better options on here. For spl maybe a digital designs 9512

edit: looked and saw you said sealed for the solo x. That is a waste as stated just get the american bass if you like it but that is a very large box.

yeah i also think the americanbass will be louder.

i think it is a waste for the kicker solo x to be in a sealed box. but thats what my buddy wants.

do any of you all know how heavy the magnet on the solo x is?

i know the american bass hd is 300oz

Not even Close to that..Not even close, its more Plastic cover on it than anything else man.American Bass subs look great, and Seem to be Pretty BRUTE as well,from what Ive been looking at lately/you tube ect.

the solo x magnet or the american bass amp?

plus I've seen a american bass hd 15 on two elevation audio's 2200's wired at 1oh. so around 4,000rms taking it strong. they are very underrated.

i agree, they have a a huge magnet. if im not mistaken they are triple stacked?

that' all his choice. im not getting in his way. what ever he wants. i tried to talk him out of it but idk.

and the AB is for me. do you think 4.5 is to big for a 12?

im still iffy about going to a 15. what do you think would be pretty good for a twelve? im trying to move a good amount of air in the process. but my sub would only be getting around 2200rms or so.
