Which HU to get.........

Ok another question. I was doing some more searching and stumbled across a couple more HU's which could possibly be candidates to buy. I want ur help to compare these HU's and see what would be the best. But first my question is what should be the best siganl to noise ratio be to retrive the best sq u guess think? But the next HU i was looking at was the 25th anniversary Kenwood Excelon XXV-01D , and i think its the clarion 855 model but campare those to the Eclipse 8455 unit thanks:cool:

i just got rid of a cd8443 eclipse very nice hu but the no faceplate thing got me even know that it wont work for them they dont know that and still break you window and mess up your dash just to get them a paper weight that why im either getting the DEH-P860MP or the XXV-01D im tossed between the two

kenwood x889 or the xxv-01d. that esn is crap to me. youngns will still see its a deck in there and rip it out. dont forget about the damage they will do to get access to it. i dont think any thief is gonna say "i cant still this eclipse deck, it wont work later w/o the key cd". besides they probably never heard of it .

I have an 8455 and it's crap. Nothing but probelms. Wasted three days trying to set up the EQs and got nowhere, even with tech support. Fianlly got one "Pro Mode" setting working then the right pre-out died. Tons of glitches, bad support, manual has terrible mistakes...

ESN has been around a long time, and you rarely see people talking of stolen eclipses on the forums. Keep a low profile(no booming where you live, showing off the system to people, etc), tint the windows, and get an alarm. Those play a much bigger part in keeping your system safe than what type of security your deck has, imo.

I have run 4 eclipse decks, and until I got the 8250, they had been the best sounding decks I had owned. I had one small problem with one of the decks, but overall, they were all incredibly reliable.

All of you guys looking at getting Pioneer DEH-P860MP's should at least wait until you get a chance to look at the new line for '06. Read my review on the 860 as well if you so desire, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the new DEH-P880PRS... drool.. 16 band independent for L+R as opposed to the 13 band eq on the 860 for starters.

Stay away from the Clarion DRZ955MP and 855MP, they're really not that great for what you pay for them. 2 band eq anyone?

That's great....throw the baby out with the bath water. I have owned 4 Eclipse decks and they have all performed flawlessly!!

And no Clairon sounds and performes great....gotta love the drz9255:yumyum: I think it will be my next car audio item that I really can't afford //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
