which head unit to chose?

hey guys im going to get a new head unit soon and i think i narrowed it down to these 2. i have a alpine 7892 now and its just old and out dated. i like the one i have now because it has the adjustable x overs to filter out the lows from the front to keep the mids and highs clean. what can you guys tell me about the 2 good and bad and which one i wil be better off with. i really want it to have a usb imput so i can get a thumb drive. i read that the slpine has a 5 band eq and the kenwood has a 3 band.the hu i have not has just bass and trebble and on some songs the alpine i have now but to much mids some times. so i would like at least a 3 but the 5 would be better. let me know guys

I've never used either unit. But have heard lots of reviews about the kenwood 891.

Both are nice quality decks. I will say one thing though, Excelons sq are just outstanding. When you giet into that model X-891 meneu, it has lots of tweeking abilities. I have the 06' flagship model Excelon, X-990, and have just been vey happy with it.

I'd say the Alpine. I have a KenWood and wouldn't get another 1.
