i like the pioneer but for the 860 ive been seeing problem with the 960.The kenwood 889 is a good deck, but i just hate the way it looks and dont like its sound as much as the 860. And clarion cant comment never heard or seen one in person

What problem has there been with the 960 that the 860's don't have? Considering they are the same thing one just has two faces I'd go for the one which looks nicer to you.

Otherwise I love my 960.
