I haven't heard much about the powerbass and it has a paper cone

the hifonics although has 30+ positive reviews

I just want something that will get louder than my stocks and not sound distorted at high volumes

Save the $15 and get the PB's if all you want is better than stock anyway.

My stocks are blaupunkt 25w max(doesnt state rms) 6.5s.

They distort at volumes past 22 with the bass at +3

and at volumes past 15 with the bass at max(+6)

i plan on powering either speakers with an orion 4 channel

I am assuming you are running a sub stage also. Bring your bass down to 0 and let your subs handle the lows. Either set of comps will work w/ the Orion just fine. Go with the price or step up to better comps.

BTW at 0 you hear no bass. It has to be atleast +3 to get some highs.

You should have bass from your subs no matter what your setting. I have plenty of sub stage w/ my bass level on my Eclipse set at -2

Yeah, at least set everything to flat and let the sub do the low end. Sub, maybe flat of -1.

Well I want some bass from my doors, not low but I want it to keep up with high notes since my sub lags it. Also when I don't play my sub I still want some bass.

I'll probably go with the PB's since they're like 35
