Which CDT tweeters are better 3/4", 1" or 1.1"?

I know they all probably have different uses but my dilemma is this. I will be putting CDT 5.25's in my door pods and have 3/4" CDT tweets that according to CDT should be near the mids. I can find a way to get them mounted on the door but I have empty slots on the dash. Would it be best to move them up there or buy a set of 1" or 1.1" CDT tweets for up there to go with the door setup (5.25's and 3/4" tweets). Or is that overkill!

Well, I definitely wouldn't suggest adding a second pair of tweeters up on your dash.

IMO just buy some crappy $20 walmart tweets and put them in the hole (with no power to them mind you). Psychoacoustics will likely set in and people will think your stereo sounds better because of the 2nd pair of tweeters, even though they aren't even playing (but don't tell them that before hand) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Plus then your hole would be filled

Or, come up with a different way to just fill the hole and make it look good cosmetically

It is cut out for 3 1/2's cut they all sound like **** coming off the glass up there. Any suggestions?
Same concept as the tweeter. Just stick a $20 set of non-powered speakers up there covered by their grill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No sound from the front? Won't that sound like ****?
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif You'll have the 5.25s and tweets in the doors......that'll be all you need.

Wow! The biggest poster on here didn't know one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I think asking which would go best with the 5.25's isn't too vague.

Here is the 1.1" tweets:

I guess I don't understand why you still want an extra set of tweeters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Just trying to put the most sound I can in the car since the amount of spaces are limited. If I still had the rear package tray where the 4 x 10's used to reside I could stuff something there but the way it is now I have the doors, sub in the trunk and the 3 1/2" holes up on top of the dash where I could put something but finding something that would work well isn't easy. So the next best thing if I just leave the dash openings empty is to figure out what to put with the 5.25's to give the best overall sound. I don't know what the differences would be between 1", 1.1" or 3/4" tweets.

You'll likely get worse sound running that extra pair of tweeters than what you would without them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

WOW, a great...meaningful...WRONG post. Think (or research) before you speak instead of just trying to get the +1. peace
