which brand makes the head units that break more often?

hi i assume it's unfortunatelly Alpine since ive been reading lots of complaints about alpine HUs failing and stuff

is it a new thing or the older alpines also had problems?

Alpine is fine, they had a bad batch of the newer models but from what I hear it's been fixed.

The only decks ive seen fail have feen Kenwoods.

the only brand i'd trust is alpine with no extended warrenty. Nothing from the '05 tho ....

Alpine is probably one of the better if not the best HU produce out there right now in my opinion. The decks that break alot are Kenwoods

Sony Xplod lineup tends to crap out. Any Alpine model 2004 lineup and before is a safe bet to last you a lifetime.

I think they all are suspect and are all far from perfect

too much technology for a "MadeInChina" product IMO
