Hey guys. I have a 66 mustang and it has a pretty tight and small trunk. I want to put two 12" subs in (there is room). I just have no idea what brand! I've been looking around for a while! So here's the ones i've been lookin at : JL audio W3, eD's, Audiobahn, Infinity Kappa, Alpine, or Pioneer. Thats quite a few, i know. Tell me what you guys think i should run! I'm looking for about 250 watts RMS....so dont tell me something too powerful if i cant support it. Thanx.

depends on what your looking for. you have infinity and audiobahn on there and they are totally diffrent. ones has great sq with soso spl and the other has great spl with very little sq. but i would defently go with the k's (just heard 2 12's in a small sealed box with 400 watts each and they sounded great and were very loud for 400 watts)

i want the sound quality to be good. I dont want the bass to just run continually like a big blob of annoying sound. I want them to hit hard and be punchy. But when i turn them up...i want them to be loudd and still sound good.

how is that related to these subs? there like 500 bucks and need 4 times the power that he's gonna give em

with taht little power, you ahve to realize that they will never get super loud... the Ed K series uses very small boxes. Also using obscenely small boxes are the Image Dynaics IDQ series. however they may ask for a bit more power...

I totally agree. You must decide what you want. You say you want it to be in a very small box. Then you say you want it to get loud. And then you say you don't want it to take much power. Unfortunately that's impossible. You can choose two of the three, but you can never have all three. It's called Hoffman's Iron law. It sounds like you need it to be in a small box. So you must decide what to give up, have poor output or buy a larger amp.

Not necessarily true. Saw/Heard a set up in a 99 Mustang with a small box sealed running off a 500 watt RMS amp and thing slammed very nicely. Hey its a nice car why not have a nice sub?
