which amp should i use to power 2 kicker comp 12s?

now i have heard cases of people pushing more than 300 watts to these speakers. some people have said they've had more like 600-700, so im curious for one if that is possible? if i get an amp thats around 600 watts, could i crank it up to push more than 300?

Also, here are the amps i've been considering. which one would be best suited for my speakers?

why is that?

both amps will work fine for those. i would get the phoenix as well and be careful when setting the gains. it gives you a little room in case you want to upgrade subs later. that alpine would work fine as well though.
