Which Amp Should I go With?

Hey guys I have TWO MTX Thunder 6000 T6124 12" Subwoofers

SPECS for Eahc SUB is

4 Ohm

Frequency Response 29Hz-150Hz

RMS 250 W

Max 500 W

87.1dB

Magnet Weight 33oz.

Which of these 2 amps would you go with and why? (if neither of these are powerful enough, then let me know)

if those are the only two options i would go with the alpine

they are single 4 ohm a piece right?

assuming you are running them at 2 ohms, the alpine would just barely be enough, and the mtx isnt enough. i would look for something that does more than 500 rms @ 2 ohms.

well, if your just starting out, i hear that hifonics are good. they are alittle bit over rated, but cheap for what they are. something like this would be good. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19580

i would look around, even in the classifieds, and just look for something that is more than 500 rms @ 2ohms.

so what would be the ideal Wattage RMS @ 4 ohms to power the subs

the 6000's are kinda power hungry...for what they are...just get something tht does 500--650rms @ 2ohms. not 4ohms.
