which amp is better?

this dude that works with my friend is wantin to buy my legacy amp for 150 bucks but i only paid 100 for it on ebay so:naughty: yeah thats cool but i gotta get a new one that same day and im gonna get my friend to go pick me one up at a pawn shop new in the box and sealed the only brands we can remember they had are rf, crunch, and planet audio all near the same price range so which is better?

Well, generally I would take RF out of those brands mentioned.

However, picking a brand is relatively meaningless without knowing whether or not the specific amplifier(s) they have will fit your setup's needs.

rf is all right (i've only ran the older models from like 3-4 years ago, haven't used the new stuff) and planet audio is good from what i've heard.....do a search and you'll find what your lookin for

max wattage means nothing, they are just bs used by companies to sell a product. you have to look at the rms power, that's what really matters.

do a little research... and try buying from good online stores like woofersetc.com, sonicelectronics.com or onlinecarstereo.com... cheap, reliable and good performance... also i'd be careful with pawn shop car audio stuff... that's where little punks go to sell stolen car audio

You need to know the RMS output of the amps.

You need to know if they are stable into the load that your subwoofer(s) will present to them.

Go to the pawn shop, find out the model #'s, then come back and we'll try to help you.

Personally, out of those I'd take the Fosgate without thinking twice.
