probably because they just came out with them the last couple of months. Example, there is a local alternator guru in town that upgrades alternators he has 20 years experience, would i take my alternator to him, hell no. He could tell you anything in the world about the alternator hes could upgrade for you, but hows the performance?? For all you know he upgraded the cooling of it and purchased a upgrade kit from JC Whitney and say its a 200amp alternator. Dom's products are proven, you may hear a bad story but bad stories travel faster than good ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Most of the bad stories is the customers fault, by not installing it correctly or getting the right belt, etc.....Knu maybe cheaper, may have cheaper parts too, you never now it may be warrantied for 6 months or whatever but you may waste 5 months sending it back and fourth for repairs. Nothing against knu id just recommend dom's.

i woould not buy from dom i was going to untill i alked to some of the ppl that had him they said they ordered it and it was suppose dto come in 2 weeks it 2 months to get to them then it broke in 2 weeks this person told me so he sent it back then he didnt get another one back for 6 months so watch what u do when u order form him cause u may be waiting longer thatn u realize im getting ohio gen they never fail and come with 1 yr warranty alrdy and they help u out price ie high though my alternator is like 600 bucks for my toyota echo (same specs as scion xb and xa ) so my alternator is only 160 hot amps but hey better than 80- u know and im running 3200 rms not total power but rms so u should be fine as long as u do the big 3 and get batteries

i recommend mean-green. never failed me. my excessive amperage alt, however has been rebuilt 5 times now and nate has been nothing but a dickhead to me

My friend got an iraggi and after a week of use it seems the voltage regulator is messed up. It charges great at idle, but when he is on it it seems like it's not charging at all.

Thanks for all the companys. I guess its time for me to start researching and see which one i want to go with. I cant play a decent bass heavy song without my voltage dropping low. It was expected but i cant take this for too long.
