Which Alpine model is better?

Between two 12" subs: Alpine SWR-1242D 500 Watts RMS or Alpine SWR-1222D 500 Watts RMS.

I am leaning towards one of these two subs. Both are 104.99$ on ebay. So which is better? I plan on getting two to go along with a hifonics amp(they have pretty good reviews), not sure? They are the same sub with different coil configurations. If you're planning on running two of them at 1 ohm (where the Hifonics amps make the most power) you want the 1242D which is a dual 4 ohm sub. You would wire all coils in parallel to present the amp with a 1 ohm load.

If you get one get the 2 ohm, two, get the 4 ohm

Btw, if your not going to have enough space for a nice box for two, I would suggest just getting 1.

Box makes A LOT of difference
