well i jus took off my 22's gettin ready for the winter here in chicago, my question is should i keep them in the basement or will they be fine in the garage? the reason i ask is because i dont want the freezing cold to fu*k them up if they stay in the garage because it does get COLD here

haha just did the same here, but i mainly did it because of the rain, plus theres tons of contruction around me so mud is everywhere. Id say the garage would be fine but i just put mine in my room

i would consider putting some type of plastic under the rims just to make sure of no moisture from the ground reaches the rims even though there is already a vapor barrier under the slab of your garage hopefully

alright im just gonna put them in the garage with some old blankets covering them, im gonna put one blanket on the ground and a rim on top of that and just stack rim blanket, rim blanket and so forth, what u guys think?

Blankets hold moisture and moisture makes rust. Take two 2x4's and lay them parallel and stand the rims up on them, like how they sit on the car.
