Where to get somme good midbass for active setup

Ok so i need to find some midbass/midrange speakers in my price range and cant find many on partsexpresspower range is 100(@4 ohm)-200(&2 ohm) per channel Im thinking bout having 2 sets of midbass/midrange per door and would try to keep it under 100$ for all 4. Im flexible on the setup( and price) though so voice your opinion please.try to keep size under 6.5I would search but im on a shitty school comp through a proxy and it takes for ever to load pages.

Are you running 3 way active? If not, then I would suggest against running two midbass/midranges up to the tweeter highpass as you will need a lot of processing to fix combing issues and imaging...

What you CAN do is run one of the midranges up to the tweeter highpass, then run the second in parallel, but with a passive lowpass around 150hz...or if you have the channels both run active...

i have a 4ch amp.

was gonna run tweets on 2 ch

and midbass on the other 2

not sure what hz to crossover yet untill i get the actual speakers

the mach 5's play good up until around 4-5k. Highpass around 60up. Some people even run them full range without a lowpass, using them full range and letting the speaker naturraly roll off. Playing that high you should be able to use pretty much any tweeter.

I'm using them in a 2 way active setup crossed at 80Hz, 12db/oct, and 3.2kHz, 12db/oct, and they sound great. Very nice midrange detail, with a nice midbass punch.

He shipped fast, and communicated quickly, too. I'd highly recommend that deal.

Skeptical bout spending any $ on something that cheap but what do you guys think bout the specs?

power handling is perfect for my setup.

Most important they have a 3yr warranty. I figure if they dont work out in a car i can send em towards a future HT build?

im not worried bout depth.. there going in a custom FGpannel and will have plenty of space.

I'd seriously ask hessdawg more info about his ID OEM 6.5" mids. They've been great to me so far, and are a great deal for the price.

If your shopping Partsexpress look into the Dayton Reference series. The 7" midbasses have led me to the 8's. I'm a budget guy and they sound great.

i can vouch on the mach 5 mids being used without a hp filter. sounds great that way imo. great mids but i think x/o should be around 3k at most.

well shit.. i decided to just blow 165$ and get 2 sets of the ID OEM Speakers from hessdawg.

They are 4 ohm and i will wire them in parallel to achieve ~100 watts per speaker.

Sound good enough?
