WHERE to get CHEAP computer hardware

This thread should've ended by the second post, but instead it carried on and grew to a disgusting, overpriced website containing blob.

/thread

pricewatch is crap! yes it will search and give you some of the lowest prices, but half of the companies it finds are scams

ex. search for a digi cam and you get a ton of cheap places, buy a camera from them and they call you to upsell. if you don't buy accessories they tell you the camera is out of stock and cancel your order

why not find out from members who they buy from instead of taking a chance?

so basically the thread continued to provide reputable companies to buy from, goodbye

oh my bad brotha.

as far as upselling? um, i've never had a problem with anyone i've found on pricewatch. if i did, i'm sure they would be gone in a day. i've built an entire pc on pricewatch, not a single problem. accordtech, microcenter, meritline, ewiz, 3b. tiger direct was on there, not sure if they still are. and you recomended them. at any rate, they have customer reviews of all the companies. most of the companies have been there forever. you = wrong.

You pay for what you get, which is GENERIC brand memory if you want REALLY cheap. The cheap ones they show on pricewatch are most likely generic ones. Other then that newg possibly has one of the best customer service / service, best website to order computer parts and has great/decent deals daily. So if you want generic you could look on pricewatch. If you want some decent name brand stuff newegg would have them.

The title is asking for CHEAP hardware, not CHEAPEST

Why risk buying from a company that may have poor customer service just to save a couple bucks? Why not take the advice of other members and buy from places they have received good service in the past?

Just buy from Newegg, Zipzoomfly, Tigerdirect, SVC, Compgeeks or some other reputable company it is worth a couple extra bucks.

yes, but they also have name brand, and for the cheapest around. whatever you want to buy on newegg you can buy for less on pricewatch. read the title of the thread.
You can go ahead and save 5bucks and order from other non-reputable sites from price-watch. Not saying they're all reputable but we all know how reputable newegg is. Lets see if a items go defective on receive, or dies within 30days, who will get a faster replacement. Newegg would send you a new one fairly fast.
